Kevin, do you run the Series 2000 20w-50 ? Thats what I run, but considering that there have been 1-2 reports of starter slipage with Mobil 1, I recommended the Amsoil Motorcycle oil (which is the same as the HI-PO 10w and 20w-x oil). The Motorcycle oil does not have some of the additives of the Series 2000, and I think these additives might give some bikes problems with clutches. Amsoil recommends the MC oil for Harleys, because they are very prone to clutch slippage due to the friction modifiers found in SAE-SG and better oils. HOWEVER, I have never had a problem with the Amsoil Series 2000, nor Mobil 1. I have also used Blackstone Labs, they are a good outfit. I had a problem with my boat engine one time, and I talked to a tech there for about 30 minutes regarding possible causes of my problem, at NO COST (just the regular $18 charge for the analysis.). They even faxed me a comparision of 454 engines from their database so I could compare.

If you use Amsoil, try the series 2000. I've run several tests on the regular Amsoil and it does not test any better than regular (high quality) dinosaur oil. I use Blackstone Laboratories. In any event, I would replace the clutch. FL Kev --- "Crisler, Jon" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Pablo, I hate to say this, but you made a very big > mistake in putting that > additive in your oil.
