If you FJR1300 enthusiasts didn�t go to the Daytona 200 today you missed a real performance show of the new FJR1300 when ridden by RANDY MAMOLA for a couple of parade laps. I was told during our oyster and beer get together Thursday that the FJR at the booth, which is the only one in the country, might be in the parade lap..........it was big time.
Randy entertained the audience for about 15 minutes running around the track and stopping and starting a couple of dozen times and doing burn outs with the FJR. In between the burn outs he would wheelie it though the gears with the FJR pointing skyward for hundreds of yards on the track. If that wasn�t enough picked on the R1�s and FZ1�s in the parade and raced them around he high banks..........he was actually pulling away from them......:>) I couldn�t resist going back to the Yamaha booth to see if the FJR was there just to look at the rear tire........it was, and the tire was down to the bare nylon threads across the bottom. There had to be fifty other riders gathering around it talking about the FJR in the parade lap. I�ll bet that show alone sold fifty FJR�s. hawke
