Some rubber suppliers are set up to cut rubber and other materials into very specific shapes. Many of these materials are used for gaskets, and often these need to be duplicated off an old pattern or produced in quantity. Check the phone book for gasket or rubber suppliers, and ask them what types of rubber would be most suitable too. If you do have custom pieces made, get orders from other list members and maybe the price per piece will go down. The only company that I know by name that can provide this service is called Gardico, in Seattle (http://www.gardico.com/). They can certainly do the work if you send them a pattern. Most major cities should have similar services available.
