I've had oil bottles leak. Yuck. Here's my current solution:
a 600CC camping fuel bottle full of oil
_inside_
        the smallest "drybag" available

A "drybag" is a heavy plastic bag, indented for kayakers and rafters. It's got
a top that folds over itself and provides an air tight seal. A zip lock
bag...well, the "zip" part will stay oil-tight, but that thin plastic...after a
few 1000s of miles of rattling around in a saddlebag, it will get some
pinholes, and leak oil when (not "if", but "when") your oil bottle leaks. Yuck.

I've had the dry bag for about 4 years. Never a drop leaked out of it, even
when it all the oil escaped from the bottle inside. The dry bag was about $7,
and worth every penny.
