George, I guess you have a different sprocket ration.....I'm running at 6,500 rpm at speed with stock sprockets. I use the GPS for my speedo. It runs 4 to 5 mph difference than the speedo. Maybe the difference. Although I have known GTS owners that have changed sprockets without appreciable change in oil consumption. Looks like you broke your GTS in right.
