Are you sure that you're not the one with a different sprocket? On both my '94
GTSs, the tach reads 5K @ an indicated 80mph. Even if that's reading 5mph too
high, (which I think is possible), 6.5K RPM for me is almost 100mph (indicated)
for me on both bikes...and I know that they both have stock sprockets.
