Good stories all. Always fascinating. Oil comsumption. Hum. I wish we had access to the engineers approach on this. I mean, the original motor, I believe, didn't have consumption issues. When the GTS motor was 'tweaked' for more 'real-world' power, they must have changed something. What, and how, of course, is the question. Mine only uses oil at high-speed/rpm. If I keep it under, say 3500 to 4000 rpm, it seems fine. Over that is when the comsumption begins, so it must be rpm related. Or so it would seem. Perhaps it's 'flinging' oil around the case and it's getting sucked up into the PCV valve. Or the valves are floating and allowing the oil to be sucked in the engine. However, I do notice, even it is using oil, I find NO traces of it in the exhaust pipe or any undue burning or heat in the cataylitic converter. So appearently, it is at least, not causing any damage or bad side effects, at least as far as I can tell. Anyone else? Different experiences with side effects? Smoking, oily film on pipes, fouled plugs? Neighbor kid putting garden hose in oil filler opening? Brandon
