Please, can anyone help a GTS1000 from going to the grave. One of my mates, who unfortunately does not believe in computers, has a 1995 Yamaha GTS1000, bought new in 1995. His catalytic converter has rusted through and cannot be repaired, estimate for a new one is �1000(1,500 Euros, 1,400 US Dollars) !! -one third of the value of the bike. Bike is too rare to be able to get 2nd hand one in breakers. Loves his bike and wanted to keep it for ever - he normally seriously embarrasses owners of most sports bikes on it. Have ploughed thro internet trying to find a supplier of non CAT exhaust systems without success.
Please have you any advise or leads we can follow. Dave
