Aha!
Granted, I'll save only $11 on it, discounting the cost of my time to drive
to the parts store to pick one up.
However, over the course of a year, I've put in 4-6 filters in the bike,
changed the oil atleast as many times ($16/gallon for Golden Spectro 20/50)
and god knows what else.
Thing is I like to save whereever I can, I'm not going to go cheap, but
looking inside the filter, it looks the same as the Yamaha OEM so I figure I
might aswell NOT throw away the money.

See, from this point on, I'll always have an extra cheapo filter laying
around, I won't have to go out of my way to the bike shop to get it, order
it etc etc.

To show you how cheap I am.. I have a vacuum gauge in my car and drive
according to it, I use lowgrade gas in the bike, I look for all the specials
in the grocery store and use coupons, I carpool as much as possible. I have
a stock account and mutualfunds that I tuck money into. I have kept a lot of
my old clothes as disposables for the garage. I drive an old Chrysler... my
point is that I couldn't be any more frugal if I tried.
No mortgage (rent..dammit), no car payment, no bike payment, no creditcard
debt, no outstanding bills. Everything I have I own outright etc etc.

I'm a cheap fuck and will retire at 40. :)

Carl - yeah right.. there is always something fun out there asking for my
creditcard..

Yeah, how dare you waste money on that $12,000.00 machine.

Pardon me, but I sometimes get a kick out of people bitching about a $13
dollar filter to protect a very intricate and sophisticated engine. The
filter gets replaced, oh what, twice a year maybe? To protect a 3 to 5
thousand dollar replacement item?

How much did you spend for dinner last weekend?

I spent $40 at a Japanese restaurant including tip. I probably go there
at least once a month. Great salmon. And the miso soup is fan.....uh,
sorry, got off track there. :^)

Anyway, you spends ya money where yous want. I buy the Yamaha filter.
It's OEM, it's designed specifically for our bikes. I save my money by
taking my dates to the dollar shows. (I am one cheap bastard. Just ask
Shawn!)

Hey Carl! I'm not picking on ya! 'Love ya man! Just noticing one of our
little human foibles! I got plenty, believe me!

Have a great weekend!
Keep smiling!

Brandon :^)
