Rick
I caught the front edge of mine once - sharp corner with a little dip
toward a storm drain. Combination of corner plus suspension compression
touched the front edge of the muffler, about like your first photo.

Subject: Touching down hard parts...

For the second time since I went back to the stock pipe I touched it
down in a turn last weekend. This time a little more dramatic as the
rear wheel stepped out a bit. Just curious. Am I the only one with this
problem? We do have some seriously tight canyon roads in So. Cal mind
you(This time, Spunky Cyn, for those in the know). No matter, I'm using
this as an excuse to get the Renegade pipe. It'll be much safer
donchaknow. Heh, well it's still a low-mount pipe, but I'm thinking the
smaller diameter and oval cut will give me the little bit of extra
clearance I need ;-)
