Thanks Bob, Yeh I'm pretty sure these are the same pads. I'm not scared to
use a lot of rear braking either, but 8,000 miles is a bit ridiculous! Did
you pull the caliper apart or just clean/lube the pistons assembled?

Joe.

I've got EBC "black" (are these the Kevlar ones?) on the rear and they
have 15Kmi or more on them. My stock pads were worn more on one side and
it seemed I had a sticky piston on one side. Cleaned them up and new
brake fluid seemed to fix that when I put on the EBCs. They are wearing
even now, or at least when I had everything apart putting on the
Spiegler brake lines back in May/June. Sounds like a sticky piston or
other issue to me...BTW I trail brake quite a bit, habit from dirt
biking days...Bob B.

Subject: EBC brake pads

I just replaced a rear set of brakes pads that I only renewed early this
season, maybe 7-8000 miles ago! They were the standard EBC Kevlar pads.
One side was definitely worn more than the other but both still badly
worn. The brake doesn't seem to be dragging and I don't ride with my
foot on the pedal. Any ideas? Dud set?

Unfortunately, I couldn't wait around to mail order another brand or at
least the better grade EBC so I have another set of the Kevlar ones in
there. At least they're not too expensive and easy to change.

Anyone with similar experience?

Joe.
