Thanks Bob, Yeh I'm pretty sure these are the same pads. I'm not scared to use a lot of rear braking either, but 8,000 miles is a bit ridiculous! Did you pull the caliper apart or just clean/lube the pistons assembled?

They were the standard EBC Kevlar pads. One side was definitely worn more than the other but both still badly worn. The brake doesn't seem to be dragging and I don't ride with my foot on the pedal. Any ideas? Dud set? Unfortunately, I couldn't wait around to mail order another brand or at least the better grade EBC so I have another set of the Kevlar ones in there.
