Doug 93's & 94's & I would assume other years also.  Mine's a 93&
definitely had the problem.  If you look through the archives you'll
find that Yamaha replaced the HCU for a bunch of us.  (Even though the
bike was long out of warranty & even if you weren't the original owner.
