Hi Grant. The kit includes a clutch cover gasket , a new stiffer shift
spring & a new heavier duty shift cam. It's located behind the cluch
assembly. I installed mine after I put 4000km on the new motor at the
same time I installed a new Barnett HD clutch kit & HD spring kit. The
purpose for the shift kit is to help reduce or eliminate missed shifts.
Personally,I was looking to stiffen up my shifter pedal a bit because
I'm used to harder shifting bikes & find my GTS was a little too soft in
the shifter pedal feel. Everything works so well in a blueprinted motor
that sometimes the additions of special effects items are required to
make certain things feel just right. Pete.
