>So, Nick, you ARE doing maintenance: you are exercising your ABS at least >once a day.
Well Henry it's a sort of maintenance just without spanners and brakefluid etc . >Is that something you are doing intentionally by attempting to lock up your >brakes, or because of your riding environment (wet, slippery, etc.)? It's a bit of both , i like to see where the limits of the tyres are on different surfaces and under different conditions also the limits of the braking system , sometimes intentional sometimes not . Going on from the question . I do believe that the ABS is under used on most peoples bikes , which is why it fails . It's no good having it if you are afraid to use it in an emergency , also if you wait till your in an emergency situation before you use it , it could be seized and of no help at all . People may not want to slam on the anchors when riding to see if it works , but why not , it's a heavy bike and you may just need all the help you can get one day to stop . I'd rather find out if it works when i can have some control over the conditions , rather than wait till the conditions give me no choice but to slam them on and hope they work ok . atb Nick T SA#12 --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
