Let's not forget the lister last year who hurt his knee badly when his bike lost control (briefly) because he was testing the ABS system while riding. Something he had claimed to do regularly.
I also test the rear brake occasionally in wet or gravel when I am in a safe situation, but have only had the front ABS activate twice; once on the track and once while rapidly approaching wildlife in my lane on the highway. It's not easy to lock up (or test) the front brake's ABS, nor would I recommend doing it. My question is: Does "exercising" the rear ABS also work the same parts in the HU as the front would? i.e: Do we even need to bother trying to test the front?
