Actually, I know some people who don't have enough body weight to
do this.  (I am NOT one of them...)

What I tell people to to is to put their hand in the lift area
and their foot on the centerstand, and then SEPARATE their
hand and foot, like they would do if stretching a big rubber band
with a hand and foot.  This uses not just body weight pressing
down, but also some lifting with the hand.  Then the bike just
pops up onto the centerstand.

A number of lighter-weight riders who've been riding for years had
never gotten a bike onto the centerstand until I gave them this tip.
