You are very perceptive! I have given thought to all
of the comments from the list and appreciate all of
your help.Yes $8,000 does bother me if I still have to
dump another $4,000 in an engine rebuild. Even though
it has 175 miles on it, a rebuild still may be
necessary due to 30 y. old dry seals and gaskets.  The
owner has  bragged about the bike still wearing
original 30yr. factory tires, so to make the bike safe
to ride, replacement of tires is a given.
Theoretically, if I were to give this seller what he
wants and make the bike safe and somewhat reliable,
I can see $13-14,000 invested in a bike thats worth
$4-5,000. Now that would bother me! That is just
Stupid money. Thanks.
