OK, first point is I agree--buying a decent older BritBike makes more sense than the one for 8 big ones. And I'm not convinced that the way to go is to restore one yourself, but if you want to, I have a complete (essentially) barn fresh T120. It's a 1972 OIF Bonneville, with a variety of extra parts, and I was planning to advertise it locally for about $750. Would likley negotiate a bit with anyone from the list.
Bike was running when it was parked. It's not run for quite a few years at this point. I got it from a divorce liquidation. Hmmmmm. Wonder if owning a BritBike had anything to do with.............. Never mind. Phil P.S. If "original" matters less and lack of headaches matters more, and you like the concept of a Bonnie--buy the Kawasaki imitation.
