I own an Autocom along with a Valentine 1 radar detector. I run the Valentine 1 and a CD player through the Autocom.
Both devices are "best in class" (although pricy) and provide the best performance in class. My wife and I can hold a conversation above triple digits (full face helmets) and the radar detector over-rides the intercom when it alerts.
