Personally, I'm comfortable that for a small project having the "Maintainers" 
do this is appropriate. If there's a need to be clearer then in my opinion it 
would be better to clarify the Maintainer role, and to have it on a fixed-term 
mandate.

We only have so much energy, and from what I've seen our light-weight 
"Maintainers" meet the current need.

On Noe's ask, I think it's extremely difficult to to provide much detail on 
"moderation" since by definition when it's done well it should be done 
diplomatically, carefully and privately with all involved - assuming that all 
involved are acting in good-faith.

Perhaps, it could something the Maintainers could report on at a general level 
as part of a status of the project update. On some cadence - e.g yearly. 
Effectively, there's a kind of update once a year at Guix Days. Of course, I 
realise that I'm asking someone to do work here - so it's just an idea.
