You may miss the examples, but the intention to go beyond the java
world is here, absolutely.  It's just an order of magnitude harder to
get configure and make integrated and in particular to describe the
build artifacts of a C based projects (is that a .so a .dll or a
.bundle that it creates?).

The log4net project seems to use NAnt[1], it would be far easier to start
with something like this.
