No more than G:T Ground Forces. The military/mercenary campaign has been one of
the most popular with Traveller players and was covered by Book 4: Mercenary,
which came out before the books on the Navy, Scouts or Merchants.

Calling the target audience "hack and slashers" is a bit unfair. It's like
saying the target audience for G:T Far Trader was "certified public
accountants".

My main problems with GT:SM were:
(1) It made a lot of references to Vehicles 1e, although VE 2e had been out for
over a year.
(2) The battlesuit was ... well ...
(3) The deckplans for the mercenary cruiser were unlabeled, making them useless.
