I'd swear that I remember someone from SJG talking about doing the
core books as PDFs when they went to 4E. Or that it was something
that was being "seriously discussed". Of course since so many of the
promises made just prior to the release of 4E were just smoke and
mirrors.
Eh? What 'promises' are you referring to?
The first that springs to mind was the assurance that there were enough
4E books ready to go to the printers that they'd be able to do a book a
month for the next 6-8 months, after the core books, and enough in the
pipe-line to continue this practice. It's been 30 months, and there's
been ten non-core books. I'm sure I'm going to hear all about printing
difficulties, and things taking longer then expected, and so forth.
Regardless of that, if you have 6-8 books that are all set to go to the
printers, then where are the delays? Minor ones I could understand, but
an average of one per three rather then what was stated is way more then
minor. And if things took longer, and delays came up, then they weren't
actually ready to go to the printers?
