You are assuming that these devices do not have some sort of practical
industrial use. After all Nobel's goal was to create a safe explosive
for the building of tunnels, removal of mountains etc. not to blow up
people.
Dynamite and its blasting accessories are not weapons of aggressive war.
Speedy, accurate, and longer-range delivery systems are needed for that.
Possible uses:
The rail gun for punching holes in rock instead of drilling.
I would totally find it useful in peacetime to perform precision rock
drilling from 10 km away on a few seconds notice.
The Hyperv. M L - Putting things in orbit.
Explosive things with no provision for circularization?
Plasma Cannon - rock cutting.
This I could buy, but not in a form agile enough to support infantry
advancing at a dead run.
