Why would Harbor Freight sell somethiing that would allow folks to build Sten guns? Hell, why would a prison machine shop allow Marsh Williams to design (not to mention build a prototype of) his carbine? The idea seems to be using stuff intended to make only strictly civilian gear in ways that would give the pacifist designers hives if they knew what those monkeys from the Sol system were doing with them.
