You guys are talking about global warming but that is a fact. The question is, did man do it? If so, how, how much and can we stop it, should we stop it? How does this relate to RPG and GURPS? Because most meta game data is based on good stories and this is rich with them. Was it the evil energy companies in line with the patent crushing auto makers? Was it the cows? Are these cows aliens? Why would they want to do this to us? Is it that we are passing through an area of the galaxy that is rich with rays that make us hotter? Did the aliens do that? Maybe the owl lovers from Washington did it to get more attention and stop the destruction of polar bears (Does that even make any sense)? What I have never gotten is, what do the evil scientists get out of saying global warming does exist? We all know pollution is bad for us (Do you like smog? How about acid lakes and ancient works dissolving in the acid?) and that we should stop so what is the deal anyway? Why would almost all the scientist all of a sudden group together and side with the radical environmentalist? Truly, that makes no sense to me. BTW making the Earth hotter results in the pot boiling faster not some random year or day being hotter. It means some places will be much colder at times. Weather is the bubble in the pot. Some places will get more other less but it will all go faster and get crazier. This is happening, it is the cause that is in question. Remember we are here to play a game not spout off about each sides PR. Look at all the crazy fights and even crazier PR, politician and media people all trying to play this off so that they get more cash and look better. All these sides fighting because something IS happening but no one really KNOWS why yet. We have lots of data but no solid proof on ether side. All we do know is that it IS getting hotter by a FEW degrees C (That does not result in 47C weather every day in every place, it results in extreme weather at times). What are the good fights? What are the great conspiracy theories? What are the sides? How is the money moving?
