What's his specialty? It might be a quirk at best for a foot doctor, 5
points for a general practitioner, and 10 points (and cost him his job
pretty quick) in the ER.

It might also depend on where the line is. It's possible for someone to die
from the flu, or even the common cold. At what point does relieving sickness
become preventing death?

Is he open about this vow, or is his religion secretive? If the latter, you
might want to make it a Secret instead, with him going through the motions
when necessary.
