This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the
GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial
redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on
a website or the like. The files at omeyer.gmxhome.de are down until
I fix the automatic PDF generation, which should be one of these
days - see sourceforge.net/projects/gurpsml

Interstellar Blockade Runner, Vehicles Version v1.0 (TL11)
Copyright 2010 by Onno Meyer
The Blockade Runner started her career as an ordinary space yacht, but
her current owners decided to turn her into a very fast smuggling craft.
The yacht had enough room, even for low-density cargo, but mass was an
issue, so the cabin fittings and the grav unit were removed. The crew of
four to five has lightweight bunks, a mess table, and a simple microwave
oven. She has minimal EW gear, including programmable IFF to mimic the
regular transponders of harmless insystem craft.
It takes 7.3 hours to recharge the power cells for a hyperspace entry.
Subassemblies: Body +6.
Powertrain: Four 90,000-lb. vectored super reactionless thrusters;
300-ton hyperdrive; 5-kW RTG; 30,000-kW fusion reactor;
108,000,000-kWs rechargeable power cell.
Occ: 1 bridge RCS, 4 bunks. Cargo: 450 cf.

Equipment:
Body: Extreme-range radio; two long-range laser communicators; two
500-mile multimode radars; 900-lightsecond FTL radar; two 500-mile
PESAs; 5,000-mile radscanner; two x200 astronomical LLTVs; 100-AU FTL
scan detector; navigation instruments; two IFF; four inertial navigation
systems; four C6 hardened minicomputers; terminal; two forcelocks;
high-security alarm; 10-man full life support system. External: Refitted
modest emission cloaking; liquid crystal skin; radiation shielding;
deflector field.

sAccel: 6 Gs sMR: 6 FTL Speed: 2 parsec/day.
Design Notes
Cheaply made (to represent age). Body is 6,000 cf, with underbelly
skids, lifting body and very good streamlining. Structure is medium,
standard. Armor is standard composite. Sealed. Computerized controls.
2,322.2 cf of empty space. Empty weight is 50,000 lbs.
The vehicle uses the design rules from Vehicles [second edition, third
printing, December '09 errata], VXi and VXii (including the armor volume
rule) with the text format from Vehicles Lite.
Interstellar Blockade Runner, Spaceships Version v1.0 (TL11^)
Design 2010 by Kenneth Peters, color text 2010 by Onno Meyer
The Blockade Runner started her career as an ordinary space yacht, but
her current owners decided to turn her into a very fast smuggling craft.
The original yacht had two cabins. One of the cabins was replaced by
four lightweight bunks, a mess table, and a simple microwave oven. The
other cabin was turned into cargo space. She has minimal EW gear to
shield the cargo against detection.
She has a streamlined 30-ton (SM +5) hull about 60 feet long.
Systems Table
Front Hull System
[1] Nanocomposite Armor (dDR 5).
[2] Control Room (C7 computer, comm/sensor 5, and one control
station).
[3-5] One SM+6 Habitat (bunkroom).
[6!] Stardrive (FTL-1).
Central Hull System
[1] Nanocomposite Armor (dDR 5).
[2-3] Cargo Holds (shielded, 0.75 tons capacity each).
[4] Cargo Hold (1.5 tons capacity).
[5-6!] Stardrives (FTL-1 each).
[core] Fusion Power Plant (two Power Points).
Rear Hull System
[1] Nanocomposite Armor (dDR 5).
[2-5!] Standard Reactionless Engines (1G acceleration each).
[6!] Stardrive (FTL-1).
[core] Fusion Power Plant (two Power Points).
It has the artificial gravity, gravitic compensator and dynamic
chameleon features.

Atmospheric top speed is 5,000 mph and Hnd/SR +0/4.
Next Week: An even faster yacht (but rather distincive).
