Hello Zan, the TL15 weapon on the Aquashuttle is a disintegrator. At TL16, there is the displacer and the tachyonic disruptor. Disintegrators in 3E have the ability to shoot through walls, and they have an additional explosive effect -- very close to the meson cannon from Traveller. On the other hand, serious military targets will be protected by nuclear dampers and hence completely immune. The serious TL15 craft all mount them.
