Bioship Corvette v1.0 (TL14)

  At 30,000 tons, the Bioship develops two key features for interstellar 
missions. She grows a faster than light communicator, initially with 0.1 
parsecs range, and the plasma bolts from her spinal mount reach fusion 
temperatures.
  The fusion gun can penetrate perhaps 5 feet of laminate armor, or 200 
feet of ordinary steel. The lateral plasma flamers can only penetrate 6 
inches, but their high rate of fire helps to overload the force screens 
of enemy fighters. She has ten smaller flamers for point defense and a 
tractor beam in the tail.
  The payload section remains extremely spartan. There are bunks for 20 
passengers, a medical and cryosleep unit, a hangar for about 1,000 tons 
of subcraft, and a small cargo hold.

 The vehicle uses the design rules from Vehicles [second edition, third 
printing, December '09 errata], Robots, VXi (including the structural 
volume rule) and VXii (including the armor volume rule) with the text 
format from Vehicles Lite. The GM should probably set a FTL factor well 
over 0.2, perhaps in the five figures for intergalactic flights.

  At 30,000 tons, the Bioship is capable of interstellar missions, even 
if she will not always operate alone. The spinal and lateral mounts are

for an average 15 lightseconds.
