This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the
GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial
redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on
a website or the like. The files at omeyer.gmxhome.de are down until
I fix the automatic PDF generation, which should be one of these
days - see sourceforge.net/projects/gurpsml

Harriston-Class 7-ton Tracked ATV v1.0 (GURPS Traveller TL9)
  Copyright 2011 by Onno Meyer

Yori is a dry and underdeveloped world in the Spinward Marches, and
the water supply is a constant problem for outlying settlements. This
has led to the development of the Harriston water tanker.
The All-Terrain Vehicle rides on four tracks. The cab has seats for
four crew -- driving can be difficult in the open desert -- and there
are bunks for a backup crew. The ATV has a multifuel engine, burning
petroleum fuel left from an earlier era in the planetary development.
The rear is taken by a tank for 15,500 liters of water. Usually the
tanker goes to a central delivery point, but there is a small pump to
distribute water to individual consumers.
At routine speed, the engine burns 9 gallons of diesel per hour. A
full tank is $540.

The vehicle uses the design rules from Vehicles [second edition, third
printing, December '09 errata], VXi and VXii (including the armor volume
and massive motive subassembly rules) with the text format from Vehicles
Lite. The Traveller rules affect the background and design choices, but
not the technology of this vehicle.
