Hello everybody,

I'm thinking about a vehicle with Vehicles 3E and all the Expansions,
but not 4E or GURPS Traveller.

The starship consists of a 16' sphere for the bridge and quarters, a
75' long, 10' diameter girder framework, and another 16' sphere for
the power plant and engines.

Obviously three subassemblies, but what is what?

* The engine sphere is a body, the girder frame is a superstructure,
and the bridge sphere is another superstructure on top of it.
* The girder frame is the body, with a superstructure for the bridge
and a pod for the engine.
* The girder frame is the body, and both spheres are superstructures.

My inclination would be to make the girders the body, because that
is the central subassembly. The advantage of a pod for the rear
sphere is that there is just one superstructure and one pod, which
simplifies the writeup. OTOH, engines in pods lack access space.

And on a related note, do you think it is legit to have open-frame
armor and nothing but a cargo hold in the body? It raises the
question why the cargo won't fall through the gaps.

Regards,
Onno
