Been talking about ways to take a Sci-Fi movie/show and do it in a Traveller universe or something like. Riddick being one of the challenges or ideas or .. how far to push things and not go there? Pitch Black (the first movie with Riddick but not Chronicles of..) is very much Traveller compatible.

A star ship crashes on a remote place, with no help to be expected. Check
The reasons for the characters to be on the ship. Check
One character has Night/Dark Vision and propably additional advantages or raised attributes. Check (in Traveller most likely due to genetic engeneering)
Mysterious aggressive beasts live there. Check.

The plot itself is not easily convertable to an RPG adventure though, because you'd either have a PC/NPC split in the group, or you have only pcs and have to kill a lot of them.

The necromongers are a universe shattering threat and that is IMO counterindicated in Traveller. Converting the plot to what happens just on one world (or what happens just in one subsector) but has not real influence elsewhere is not trivial.

The last one is on a managable one world scale again.
