  The D9 Range Truck is used on dry worlds. An upgraded suspension helps
with stone deserts, and the smart wheels adapt themselves to packed sand
or soft ground. The Range Truck has an open framework with a skid plate
under the chassis. There are two seats in the cab and 7 cubic meters of
cargo space in the rear.
  The multifuel engine burns 4.5 gallons per hour. A full tank of diesel
is $120.

Subassemblies: Body +4, six Off-Road Wheels +1.
Powertrain: 150-kW all-wheel drivetrain; 150-kW ceramic engine;
  2,500-kWs advanced battery.
Fuel: 100 gallons diesel (fire on 7).

Design Notes
  Body is 400 cf. Wheels are 100 cf (increased volume). Structure is
standard, medium. Improved suspension and brakes, smartwheels. Standard
metal armor for Wheels, Body F and U, standard, open-frame metal armor
for Body R, L, T, B. Mechanical controls. 20.3 cf of empty space. Empty
weight is 4,000 lbs.
  The vehicle uses the design rules from Vehicles [second edition, third
printing, July 2010 errata], Vxi, and VXii (including the armor volume
rule) with the text format from Vehicles Lite.
