This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the
GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial
redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on
a website or the like. The files at omeyer.gmxhome.de are down until
I fix the automatic PDF generation, which should be one of these
days - see sourceforge.net/projects/gurpsml

Aerospace Fighter Mk.IV v1.0 (TL11)
  Copyright 2014 by Onno Meyer

The Mk.IV is a starfighter for atmospheric and orbital operations from
surface bases. The fighter is armed with a five-barreled gatling gravgun
and external ordnance, from antiship missiles to ground attack loads.
The Aerospace Fighter has a slim fuselage with delta wings and canards
for improved agility. The sublight thrusters are mounted in two separate
pods. The cockpit has seats for the pilot and the backseater, who has to
run weapons and sensors, hyperspace navigation and communications.
It takes 38 minutes to recharge the power cells for one minimum-speed
hyperspace entry, or 0.34 seconds to recharge a laser shot. A full load
of gravgun ammunition is $570,000.

Subassemblies: Body +5, three Retractable Wheels +1, two High Agility
  Wings +2, two Pods +3.
Powertrain: Two 240,000-lb. vectored super reactionless thrusters; two
  48-ton hyperdrives; 36,000-kW fusion reactor; two 18,000,000-kWs
  rechargeable power cells.
Occ: 2 RCS.

Design Notes
Body is 1,120 cf, with superior streamlining and total
compartmentalization. Wheels are 56 cf, retract into Body and Wings.
Wings are 80 cf each. Pods are 160 cf each. Structure is extra-heavy,
expensive. Armor is expensive composite. Sealed. Computerized controls
with duplicate maneuver controls. 95.77 cf of empty space in the Body
and 41.68 cf in each Wing. Empty weight is 58,000 lbs.
