The idea of a TL6 jet interceptor telling a TL10 Far Trader "we'llescort you to the starport, no funny moves" had some charm, but it has to work. The Far Trader can outclimb and outturn the interceptor.Yeah, I'm getting a picture a Me 262, a Gloster Meteor or Lockheed P-80 trying to intercept a flying saucer and the results appear comical.
Except for the agility issue, it would have worked. THAT would have been the real joke.
