I'm trying to recall if the weight of a cryonic capsule in the Vehicles
rules includes the passenger and a cargo allowance.
Space 3rd revised, p. 91, for the gadget: $55,000, 750 lbs., 50 cf.
Space 3rd revised, p. 123, per tube in a ship: $55,000, 1,000 lbs., 50 cf.
Space 2nd, p. 66, for the gadget: $55.000, 750 lbs. 2 cy =
54 cf.
Space 2nd, p. 84, per tube in a ship: $55,000, 1/2 ton, 2 cf =
54 cf, says "(full)".
Vehicles 2nd, p. 68: $55,000, 1,000 lbs., 50
cf, includes an E cell for 6 months.
Traveller, p. 155, per tube in a ship: $55,000, 1,000 lbs., 62.5
cf, includes a fusion power slice.
Vehicles assumes that a typical human is 150 lbs. plus 50 lbs. clothing
and gear. It would take another 50 lbs. in luggage to make the
difference between 750 lbs. and 1,000 lbs.
The difference in the volume could be a simple rounding error, or a
cargo locker.
But then there is the power. A TL9 E cell (150 kWh) should last one
month. So more than one would be required to get the endurance.
Was this ever clarified?
