This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the
GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial
redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on
a website or the like. The files at omeyer.gmxhome.de are down until
I fix the automatic PDF generation, which should be one of these
days - see sourceforge.net/projects/gurpsml

Corsair Mothership v1.0 (TL11)
  Copyright 2016 by Onno Meyer

The Corsair Mothership is home to a small squadron of shuttlecraft and
aerospace fighters. Both the starship and her carried squadron are cheap
and expendable -- they are supposed to make a profit, not to win a war.
The upper deck has the bridge, crew quarters, cell block, and engine
rooms. Each crew compartment has two triple bunks and each cell has two
quadruple bunks. The lower deck contains the hangar with front and rear
doors. Usually three 10-ton Corsair Skiffs are parked on the centerline
and ten 3-ton Corsair Fighters are parked along the sides.
The Mothership mounts a triple turret with 40mm gravitic cannon. The
beehive rounds are useful for point defense and soft targets. HE can be
used to wreck towns. The unstreamlined ship is restricted to a very low
speed in Earth standard atmospheres, so she stays in orbit if possible.
The hyperdrive and the grav cannon use the same power cell. It takes
14 hours to recharge the power for one hyperspace entry if the ship is
maneuvering, and 0.066 seconds to recharge one grav cannon shot. A full
load of 40mm ammunition and provisions is $565,000.

Subassemblies: Body +7, full-rotation Turret +3.
Powertrain: Six 200,000-lb. vectored super reactionless thrusters;
  1,500-ton hyperdrive; 75,000-kW fusion reactor; 540,000,000-kWs
  rechargeable power cell.
Occ: 10 CCS, 60 bunks. Cargo: 1,250 cf.

rule) with the text format from Vehicles Lite.

Next Week: The fighter.
