unheard-of... can you send pictures of that?
well, I've looked at my pictures again. I did not have much time while
testing as it is not my own device. So I checked them again and it seem
to be a problem of the dropdown button. The downloaded (not changed)
version it works fine :) however, with phoneme the problem does not exist...

could that be the device's own look-and-feel?
well as mentioned before, I cannot check it again...at least not at
once...but I think, some symbols are missing...I cannot clearly say,
perhaps I need to check it again next weekend for example...perhaps I
can get the device again.
> ...was not shown in ToC ...
the layer name in the TOC is the only place where you can see missing
words?
cannot tell exactly, did not have much time to check everything...I
hope, I can check it again.
As for the permission dialogs: that's normal. some devices ask the
user before using executable files (exe and dll) then keep a record of
"allowed files", so they dont ask again unless you reinstall the
software. that's actually a configurable feature of windows mobile.
Most PDA have it disabled by default.
ok, I thought so...
If someone is interested in tuning that sort of thing, you can use for
example CeRegEditor: http://ceregeditor.mdsoft.pl/

ok, thanks for the comments,
I tested it on an Sasung Omnia GT-B7610 yesterday, and I've tested
both, J9 and PhoneME...of course, I have deleted the dll, as I have
read the information before ;) but however, the statusbar was not
shown and the coordinates were shown above the toolbar...a bit
strange. In addition, some visual aspects changed, like white and
black are replaed by each other, I think.
With phoneme, the statusbar was shown correctly. but the layername was
not shown in ToC (so it cannot be deleted, only disabled) - in phoneME
I have used the current version, placed the folder in device directory
and installed gvsig mobile and before starting, started config.exe,
right?
Well, I've got many dll-requests which I had to confirm before it
would continue...but I think, the request does not come twice?
About GPS, I'll test perhaps later, but that's ice to know, that it
should work with assigning a serial port to it.

Marcel

Hi,
When it comes to internal GPS, all the units I have been using
have been assigning the GPS into one of the serial ports. Some
have had this as an option for some other native communication
port. The PDA can have a selection in the GPS settings for giving
the number of the virtual serial port to be used for output, and
gvSIG Mobile must be configured to use the same port. I have been
using gvSIG Mobile with a few Trimble models, M3 Mobile PDA and
Thales Mobile Mapper.

Hello, yes it should work also on WM 6.5
If you are using the J9 version, you need to remove one of the
DLL files under \J9 folder:
\J9\PPRO11\bin\j9jit23.dll
Also, what do these files say?
\gvSIGMobile\g_mobile_launch_log.txt
\gvsig_mobile_is_alive.txt
(this one is in the root of the file system)

*Asunto:* [Gvsig_english] using gvsig mobile with internal gps
/ using it onwm 6.5
Hello,
anybody used gvsig mobile with WM 6.5 ?
I am trying to emulate it with WM 6.5.3 DTK, but it does not
seem to work.
Additionally, is it possible to use the internal GPS? without
Serial
port? or does it have an assigned serial port in windows
mobile? does
anybody know?
Best regards,
Marcel
