Raoul,
Almost always when reading a book, listening to a podcast or even a
Newsline newspaper I need to know how much time is left before I
finish. Currently I can inquire and get a long list of headings and
vaguely estimate that, say, 20 headings out of 100 left in a ten hour
book means that maybe I have two hours left. Or not.
This is not the most elegant way to get what most users want -- the
knowledge in hours and minutes of how much time is left in the reading.
I propose that a new keypress be dedicated to this feature. The unit
could simply estimate the remaining time by taking the current
reading rate and the file position and do a computation. The Book
Courier did this and could always give at least the percentage of
file complete, but the translation into hours and minutes would be
particularly useful. Much more so than all the verbiage the BS now
gives about numbers of headings of unknown length.
Can this one make it onto the next release?
