Agreed about the Bookport. My keys are starting to wear out, but since
having it I've read almost 200 books on it (not to mention numerous
podcasts, music, etc.). APH also was very good about interacting with its
customers to continually add new features and quickly fix bugs. There were
frequent updates, good documentation, and a responsiveness to customer
feedback that was truly excellent. Too bad their efforts to develop a
follow-on product with their partners didn't pan out.

The book Sense seems to starting from a much higher level and will hopefully
quickly become a more robust and competitive product. One needs to be
patient with new technologies.

In its day, the BP was the best thing since sliced bread. I still
own one, and it works! The keys are a bit stiff, and I suspect it is
on borrowed time. I hardly ever used the notetaking feature, and I
never used the alarm feature. The Bookport didn't keep time very
well. But... I wish I had a dollar for every book I read on it!

Turn right, then go straight!

         Jeremiah 29:11-14 (Amplified Bible)

11For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the
Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to
give you hope in your final outcome.

12Then you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me,
and I will hear and heed you.

13Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital
necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.(A)

14I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will release you
from captivity and gather you from all the nations and all the places
to which I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back
to the place from which I caused you to be carried away captive.
