I'd be curious to know the answer to this myself, but for my part, I would think the processor and the Bluetooth transmitter would be the biggest drains on the battery. I wouldn't think it would matter much if the processor was busy converting text to speech or processing an audio file. I'd think the speaker would require more power than wired headphones. I'm just guessing about most of this though.

Hi. I find if i am using blue tooth I get very little out of my charge, however with regular headphones it seems to last a long time. It also seems to last longer for me if the book sense isn't reading a document with the text to speech option. In NLS, or MP3 formats I get more out of acharge. ----- Original Message ----- From: "qubit" <[email protected]> To: "EVAN REESE" <[email protected]>; "GW-micro" <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, June 24, 2010 6:41 PM Subject: Re: [GW-Booksense] Battery? >I wonder if the speaker at volume 21 uses more or less than headphones.
