Don,

you are exactly right. I made an elementary attribution error. I assumed that I
should change messages from someone. In fact - of course - I need to change the
"to" field.

Thanks,
Robert

  Hi Robert,

I'm using windows mail which is the Vista equivalent of outlook express, so
setting up message rules is probably the same for both.
What I did was to set up a rule keyed on the to or cc line with the string of
[EMAIL PROTECTED] (without the quotes of course.

I then selected the folder I wanted the messages moved to, then left the 3rd
parameter at the default, and finally gave the rule a name.

I then applied the rule immediately and also moved it up in the list of
filters so messages would be filtered out prior to other filters which might
cause my gw filter never to see the messages. I may not be explaining this as
clearly as I should be, but hope you understand.

I selected the "two or cc line" selection because some people send to
multiple lists and that should catch most if not all the gw messages. So far
it is working fine for me even with the really high volume of messages coming
in right now.

  I hope this is helpful.

  Don

In view of the enormous number of messages regarding the beta I thought it
might be good to send them all to a folder of their own. I set a message rule
in Outlook Express which stated that all messages from gw-info should be moved
to a particular folder. The result was that 4 messages went to this folder but
another 15 ended up in my in-box. Could someone give me advice as to how to put
all gw-info messages in a particular folder and nowhere else?

    Thanks for your indulgence,
    Robert Grimwood
