If you are referring to defining different window boundaries you use the insert-f5 and insert-f6 keys to define the top-left and bottom-right corners of the window. Section 12.3 discusses this. Also, section 12.6 and 12.7 might answer the questions regarding the reading of text when a window is not defined in the certain area.

how do you go about doing this?

Read my prior message on this. it's by design if you change the size of the user window.

this will happen with all voices if window 0 is not re sized to cover all of the screen. try it. i found out this accidently. i could not get w e 6.1 to speak highlighted text but only on the top 10 lines in a o e message. until i resized the window. now highlighted text useing the shift and shift control arrow keys work now.

make sure the window 0 is sized to cover the entire screen or is it the focus window area? what ever the terminology is called. this can be duplicated if the window 0 is not covering the full screen. resize window 0 so it is not covering the text you want to copy and paste. when you do this the shift and control shift arrow keys will not speak the letters or words you highlight.win ----- Original Message ----- From: "Raul A. Is your window maximized? I cannot reproduce this behavior in Windows Mail under Vista. I'll have to see about testing it from OE in XP.

Hello Everyone,
I am experiencing an interesting issue with WE 7.0 Beta 1 under Windows XP Pro SP 3 with Outlook Express 6. Essentially, I am unable to reply to specific individuals when participating on mailing lists due to a text selection problem. It is 100 percent reproduceable using the following steps:
 1. Open a message from any mailing list.
2. Press Control-R to start the reply process.
3. Move down to the from line of the original message as quoted.
4. Begin selecting the text of the e-mail address using Shift-Right Arrow and/or Shift-Control-Right Arrow. 5. Observe that Window-Eyes is silent during this selection process. You have no way to know what is being selected. 6. Press Control-Shift-M to see what has been selected. Window-Eyes says "no text selected" even though there is definitely selection happening. 7. Simply press Control-Shift-Right Arrow several times to select more than enough content.
8. Press Control-C to copy the material to the Windows clipboard.
9. Compose the text of your personal reply as usual.
10. Shift-Tab to the To: field.
11. Backspace out the list's e-mail address and press Control-V to paste in the previously copied text. 12. Clean up the unneeded material to ensure only the user's e-mail address is shown.
13. Send the message.
I hope this report is helpful.
