Dear Jim,
So logically you would make a claim even if it weren't actually true.
So based on your own bizarre logic my reaction was valid! I did
correctly assume that the claim could have been false, hence my response.
I'm not sure what else you expect me to say. I did apologise but
since you refuse to let the matter rest I will share a few thoughts
with you and our friends here.
I have been using both window-eyes and JAWS since 1995 and based on
my personal experience I do indeed find claims of WE being sluggish
compared to JAWS absolutely bizarre. I don't know how my response
based on sound personal experience is any less logical and
constructive than yours. However, when one of our friends here
pointed out that the issue was a recognised bug and was being dealt
with I offered my apologies which you have refused to accept.
Constructive behaviour is clearly the last thing on your mind.
Lastly, It's almost laughable to hear you lecturing us on what is or
isn't appropriate for this forum when you yourself couldn't run a
mailing list to save your life.Remember Blind Programming? You had
years to get your acts together. Yet, in the end it was thanks to
some very sympathetic individuals that you were spared public
humiliation. You come on this list and straightaway complain about
the topic under discussion. Then you in your typical fashion try to
sensor other contributors. Unfortunately, James, you'll just have to
accept that you have no control over GW Info.

Hello John,
Logically, there would be two reasons I would make such a claim. 1) it is
true. 2) it is not true. It happens to be true. Why it is true may help me
solve the problem. Being a brand new WE user, perhaps something I did made
it happen. Perhaps there is something running on this machine making it
happen. I know that this computer has a lot of security on it due to the
government business we are involved in here.
Please let me know if you have something constructive that might help. I
truly want to evaluate WE on its own merit, as objectively as I can, given
my experiences with screen readers to this point. For example, I'm staying
totally away from the JAWS keyboard layout so that I don't try to compare
the philosophies of the two screen readers.
Thanks.
Jim
Thanks.

Re: Very General Observations
Having used both JAWS and Window-eyes I have to confess that such a
claim sounds absolutely bizarre!
