Let's not forget Sound Forge, which gives a "word like" cursor
movement keys feel, which GoldWave unfortunately does not. I wish it did ! ! !

Les, I think you would probably find folks who would suggest that TR
is the best for the purpose while others would offer an equally
convincing case for Goldwave. I have both on my computer. I use
Goldwave for editing on a daily basis and wouldn't be without it.
But if I want to record something and was choosing between Total
Recorder and Goldwave, I would choose Total Recorder Professional.
Also, if you want to record only and have no interest in editing
Total Recorder will cost you a few dollars less. I bought Total
Recorder professional because it offers features that the standard
version does not offer and I think it's a great value.
Now then, after saying all that, I would suggest that you downlload
and road test both. See which one fits best in your comfort zone and
which offers the features that most interest you. They are both
accessible and well worth their price. And in the end, it's your
oppinion that matters most.
