Well, I do believe someone else was having trouble with drag and drop
but not with levelator.
And I don't know what would be covering up the window, I can give it
focus and see the help button, and the graphic where I'm supposed to
drop the file.
And jaws works fine with dragging and dropping, and so did we 6.1.
But it's we7 that broke the barn so to speak.
But yes, i do believe a screen-shot would be good.
I'm going to try once more to see if this will work now that I have a
clean system again.
And I do know there were installation or rather un-installation
issues with we concerning that gwmvidmr.dll file which got left even
after running emergency removal or the regular un-install with we
from 6.1 through all the betas.
This was one of we's video files that got left in the system32
folder, and if you then tried to install we video support it would
tell you that video support was already installed even though it
wasn't and abort.
On another list we so recently were active on 'grin', I read posts
about others complaining about mis-firing we uninstalls, and I had
communicated a couple of times about that.
So I really hope someone is on top of that over there as this could
generate lots of tech calls.
I will say that if you did an install and un-install from the cd,
that gwmvidmr.dll file didn't seem to get in the way, but it would
surely louse up a portable install where someone wanted to run we
from another location.
Ok, off to do my test, and then a screen-shot coming your way.
Thanks.

Can you give me some specifics about your screen-res, whether in

1280x1024, single monitor.
We are obviously getting some really screwy stuff going on where-by
some folks systems are doing the kind of stuf mine is and others
are behaving better.
So other people are able to duplicate this? I hadn't seen any other
responses to your email. My guess is that you have something
covering up the window you're trying to drag to, which is the same
issue someone sighted would have.
Would it be worth installing from the cd, I'm running the web upgrade now.
Window-Eyes 7 is Window-Eyes 7, no matter how you slice it, or install it.
If there any diferences in the way video drivers are installed, or
cleaned up, or anything that might facilitate an uninstall and
re-install from the cd to possibly solve this problem or is that a
waste of time?
This wouldn't be the first time that something weird is happening on
your machine only. But before we take a sledgehammer to it, how
about starting simple and just sending me a screen shot?
