We are not able to duplicate problems with any version of this application. Hopefully your screen shot will help.

Well, I'm big enough to atleast take part of the blame unlike some folks I know who just like to pass the buck 'grin'.

Ok, here's the deal...

The new version works reasonably well.

That is the 1.41 version.

I can about 60 percent of the time go to the bottom of the screen and do the bottom left thing and then control-shift-mouse right and mouse up a couple of times till I hear "drag and drop your file here" and it will work a fair amount of times.

Sometimes it still doesn't.

On one of my other images, I have 1.4 installed.

Now the interesting thing is that it says something like "shaped window" in the title bar.

This is the version that doesn't work with we7 but does with we6.1.

I still think it's worth investigating because we 6.1 had a more robust way of getting drag and drop variables or whatever you programmer types call it 'grin'.

So they're obviously change the interface a little bit and my bad for not getting the latest version.

I've got enough to do around here than to chase down every little utility that gets an incremental change and still put food on the table 'grin'.

Ah well, part of the price for having one of these bionic piles of junk.

And remember someone else was having trouble with drag and drop for something else.

So I still submit that drag and drop is atleast partially broken.

They have the older versions available on the site, so go try 1.4 the one that says "shaped window" and tell me if it don't work on your end.

Thanks

Can you give me some specifics about your screen-res, whether in single or dual monitor mode, and stuff like that?

1280x1024, single monitor.

We are obviously getting some really screwy stuff going on where-by some folks systems are doing the kind of stuf mine is and others are behaving better.

So other people are able to duplicate this? I hadn't seen any other responses to your email. My guess is that you have something covering up the window you're trying to drag to, which is the same issue someone sighted would have.

Would it be worth installing from the cd, I'm running the web upgrade now.

Window-Eyes 7 is Window-Eyes 7, no matter how you slice it, or install it.

If there any diferences in the way video drivers are installed, or cleaned up, or anything that might facilitate an uninstall and re-install from the cd to possibly solve this problem or is that a waste of time?

This wouldn't be the first time that something weird is happening on your machine only. But before we take a sledgehammer to it, how about starting simple and just sending me a screen shot?
