Yes to the first question and I believe that F6 will put you back in your
list view when a web page pops up. That is annoying, and one of the reasons
why I turned off Genius.

Hi, Jamie. Do you mean that button that says text list?
Also, every time I arrow down the tree view, when I hit the apple store, it
comes up.
I do hope you can do a piece using window-eyes.

Hi, gang. First, when moving through lists in iTunes, tab to and check the
list view button rather than grid view. I think you will find that things
work much better this way. This must be done for each view you move to.
Second, when working with the Apple store, turn browse mode off in order to
interact with controls. This isn't much fun but it can be done. The whole
store doesn't work this way, but when you try to do things such as change
account information this is how you do it. As for moving through menus, you
must press down-arrow after opening a menu to hear the first item. After
that, things should read as expected. I will probably do a piece for Main
Menu focusing exclusively on iTunes with Window-Eyes, but I'm not quite
ready to tackle it yet. (smile)

Paul

It is very much a mixed bag -- definitely a work in progress.
I hope that one or more of the talented sdripters will be working on this
particularly, in my instance, perfecting the use of the podcast interface.
It is a vast improvement, in this regard, to the previous iTunes 7 with
we6.1, but still has a long way to go before I'd call
it the kind of thing the
average blind user will be comfortable with.
I think the main point here -- and this is what should be stressed -- is
that this is a significant step forward but there is still more of a road
that needs to be traveled.
I can do a lot more with iT8/we7 than I could do with previous versions,
as far as podcasts go, but I still am finding a lot of this hit and miss.
I can get it to work but I don't think the average blind user will find it
acceptible at this stage.
But I have no doubt that we will get this one right in the not too distant
future.

We still have time to make a difference, but only if we view the world as
God does, and understand that history is His-story.
