Many of the suggestions on this list are excellent, but if you want
to use alt-f7 then press it twice and then either arrow to the left
or right to focus the attachment and you can then do shift-f10 to
access the context menu relating to that attachment which will allow
you to open, save, print, etc.

I have a message with a pdf attachment.
When I press alt plus the 7 number it says attachment read only,
but when I press enter it makes a bong sound and nothing happens.
I pressed the alt plus 7 key twice to have it say read only a few times.
Also when I heard the attachment name I tried pressing the space bar
to select it but nothing happened.
If anyone has any suggestions I'de appreciate it.
